We created the Archive Digitization Application (ADA) to empower archives, museums, and libraries in the electronic preservation of their collections. ADA helps institutions manage the digitization of historic printed materials, giving them in-house control over all the elements and actors in the process—at little or no additional cost, and with minimal disruption to their regular operations.

ADA is designed to manage a wide range of archiving activities, including:
•  Organizing newly scanned materials (e.g., documents, photos, records)
•  Integrating previously scanned digital collections (with or without metadata)
•  Incorporating unprocessed archival collections
•  Supervising crowdsourced metadata input

  • Content Management
  • Drupal
  • Crowd Sourcing
  • xAPi
  • Dublin core

Access ADA Free of Charge

We make ADA available free of charge for all archives, museums, and libraries. We offer ADA in a desktop version for small archives and private collections, for whom it also can serve as an ideal document repository. We built and tested the server version of ADA for large archives with a predetermined digitization production management process, integration of newly archived materials into existing holdings, and public outreach for the digitized collection.
